  • 导言:有理函数

    Division problems follow us in our daily lives, be it dividing an amount of money among a group of people, or dividing the number of hours in a day by the number of items on your to-do list. Division also plays an important role in the types of functions we can create to model situations. In this chapter, we consider a type of function that involves division called a rational function.  
    ::在日常生活中,分部的问题会跟着我们,不管是在一群人之间分配一笔钱,还是按待办事宜清单上的项目数目将一天的小时数除以。分部在我们能够为模拟情况而创造的各类职能中也发挥着重要作用。在本章中,我们考虑了一种涉及分裂的所谓合理职能的职能。

    Rational functions are functions made up of one polynomial divided by another polynomial. We can use them to model the average cost of a product, the pressure in a tire, or how much medication to prescribe to a child. We can even use them to help us get better photos with our camera phones!
