    Bicyclists change gears on their bikes to change the speed. Some bicyclists say that 44:16 is the perfect gear for bike riding. Others prefer 46:16 for faster biking and more challenging acceleration.

    You can make a gear ratio with the number of teeth in the front gear and the number of teeth in the back gear.

That way, they can make sure that everything in the mural looks the way they want it to.  Use this interactive to apply equivalent ratios to a visual real world application.
