    A delene wants to build a birdhouse in the shape of a right rectangular prism with a width of 4 inches, a length of 5½ inches, and a height of 8 inches. She currently has a board that is 7 inches by 25 inches long. Is this board large enough to build the birdhouse?

    To answer the question above,  you will need to understand . Surface area is the total area of the outside of a 3-dimensional object. To find the surface area of an object,  find the area of each side and add them  together. Since  you are  working with areas,  use square units .
