  • 导言:指数和对数函数

    Previously, we have discussed functions that involve adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing the variable. We have even raised the variable to powers. But what if the variable is the power? Functions with the variable as the exponent are called exponential functions. 
    ::以前,我们讨论过增加、减、乘和分割变量的函数。我们甚至将变量提升到功率。但如果变量是功率呢?以变量作为指数函数的函数被称为指数函数。

    We will discuss exponential functions in this chapter. We will also cover the logarithmic function, which  is the inverse of the exponential function.

    These functions can be used to model many real-world phenomena, including population growth, compound interest, and the pitch of the sounds around you.
