    Four friends break a chocolate bar into pieces to share evenly. In this interactive, distribute the chocolate bar evenly by dividing it evenly among the friends. Figure out what fraction of the total chocolate bar each friend gets. Later in this lesson, you will use tape diagrams to divide with fractions.

    The first level of a video game, Super Maria Sisters, has a health bar across the top of the screen. Every time Maria drinks her health potion,  she gets a health boost and a fraction of her health is returned to her health bar .

    In later levels of the video game, Super Maria Sisters, Maria earns additional health that is added to the health bar at the top of the screen. Just like before, as Maria drinks her health potion, a fraction of her health is returned.

    Three friends order a large scoop of cookie dough ice cream at a scoop shop.  A large scoop weighs 1 2  a pound.  How much  ice cream will each person get if  the friends share the  ice cream  equally?

    There are multiple different ways to divide a half a pizza with 5 friends. Two examples of math expressions that show the process are:
